This video has been circulating for some time now and it is a perfect example of why we have made the consciences business decision to never chase fires. Can you just imagine the displayed homeowner, watching their home burning down and adding to the chaos are these gutless fire chasers fighting in the street? Not to mention how the fire chasers’ actions take precious resources away from the actual crisis at hand. To be blunt, we think fire chasers are cowards.
Homeowners suffer enough and they shouldn’t be victimized twice by a money hungry industry built on their vulnerability. Fire chasers have been known to intimidate fire victims, follow them to the hospital or temporary living, and even go after neighbors; all in an attempt to get them to sign a contract for either the board-up but more likely, the rebuild. Bottom line, it is all about money for them. We don’t feel the same. We only come to a fire scene when called upon. We will never just show up looking to make a buck. We come to help the victim first and foremost, everything else is secondary.
